Addo Main Camp, Addo Elephant National Park, Eastern Cape

We had an awesome stay at Addo Elephant National Park. The camp area is divided into tent stands and caravan stands. The caravan stands will only be big enough to fit one car and one trailer and the tent stands will just fit a tent. You won't be able to fit a trailer or a caravan in the tent stands. The sites all have access to electricity but it is a blue caravan plug not a traditional 3 point plug. The ablutions is well maintained and kept neat. You have stalls with hot water showers and flush toilets. In the main camp are there is also a viewing deck where you can overlook the waterhole and spot some wildlife coming down for a drink. There is also an underground hide where you can see the waterhole at eye level. On the premises you will also find a well stocked shop and a restaurant. There is a few walking trails and a swimming pool area near the chalets and at the main reception you will find a fuel station as well. Of course the highlight is the park itself. You can spend days driving all the routes and loops in the park while being on the lookout for your next great sighting. We spotted a great deal of wildlife including: elephants, lions, kudu's , zebras, bontebok, buffalo, warthog, meerkat, many birds and even a puff adder. We had an enjoyable stay and it is definitely worth a visit to the park.
