Dankbaar Campsite, Worcester, Western Cape
Dankbaar is a lovely campsite in the Nuy Valley. The campsites are situated around a dam and one is barely aware of the other campers. Each campsite has a lovely lapa area with a big working surface. At the one end of the working surface is a zinc with hot water. In the lapa is also a huge table with seating. With our stay the lapa was covered with shade net and provieded great protection against the suna and wind. On the outside of the lapa area are private ablutions with a hot water shower and a flush toilet. The campsites are all on green grass and the trees gave us lots of shade during the day. The Kol Kol hot tube can be used during your stay. This is a good place for bird watchers and water lovers. You can swim in the dam or use kayaks that is available in the communal lapa. At the communal lapa is honesty shop. You will get a key to the shop with your ablution keys. If you want to use the communal lapa for a braai event, you can organize in advance with the management. Management visited us on Saturday to check if everything was in order. The Eland that roam around gives a great feeling of being on nature. We loved staying here and definitely advise it to everyone.
