Kuifkopvisvanger, Velddrif, Western Cape

Kuifkopvisvanger is a well known camp on the banks of the Bergriver a couple of kilometres outside Velddrif. The campsite has a beautiful view of the river. There are a lot of trees that provide shade. You will camp on a sandy, grassy terrain covered by fish net. Each campsite has access to a three-point power outlet and a build in braai. You can buy firewood from the management, and they will deliver it at your campsite. The ablutions are clean and neat with flush toilets and hot water showers. Your furry friend will be welcome to join you at the camp. Suikerbekkie is a coffee lounge on the premises with delicious meals and treats to enjoy with your coffee. You can do some bird watching. More than a 180 species of birds have been identified here. Fisherman will enjoy the opportunity to catch the big one. Kids can play at the play area. You can do some canoeing or go on a river cruise. Bokkomlaan is nearby in Velddrif and famous for its coffee shops and restaurants. You can buy bokkoms from the locals in Bokkomlaan.
