Blinkwater, Citrusdal, Western Cape

Blinkwater is just outside the town of Citrusdal. This is quite a big campsite and offers different types of camping sites. You have more shaded campsites (where we camped), less shaded campsites and more secluded, almost private, campsites. The ablutions are to die for. It is absolutely beautiful, modern, spacious and was cleaned on a daily basis. We camped under big shady trees on very inviting green lawn. There is a communal braai area, but each campsite has access to a braai drum, three point electricity plugs, caravan plugs and a tap with drinking water. The river runs through the camp and you can cool off in the river and the rock pools. Each camp area also has a huge swimming pool. The campsite is pet friendly. You can buy firewood from the management. The kids can play their hearts out in the play area. If you want a relaxing weekend for the whole family, this is the place to go.
