Die Vlei Campsite, Citrusdal, Western Cape

Die Vlei is a lovely campsite 21 km from Citrusdal. it is on the banks of the Olifantsriver and you camp on luscious green lawns. There are only six campsites and four chalets. This is ideal for a group booking, especially if you have non-campers in your group.. The lapa area can then come in very handy. It will give a bit of shelter from the rain and wind. The bank of the river has big trees and we had shade throughout the day. All the campsites have braai drums and there are braai grids available. The ablutions offer hot water showers from a gas geyser and there are flush toilets. In the well-equipped kitchen area is a fridge/freezer, microwave oven and a geyser with hot water. There is even a washing machine. You can do a bit of exploring to the nearby farm stalls for breakfast or lunch. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and relaxing next to the river. This is definitely worthwhile to visit. Check the video for more information.
