Tierkloof Campsite, Rawsonville, Western Cape

Tierkloof is a lovely campsite located on a mountain side in the Rawsonville district. The campsite overlook the Brandvlei dam. You can do water activities and fishing in the dam. There are only 8 campsites of variable sizes and 4 cabins. The indoor pool enable you to swim all year round and the LAPA is available for functions. The campsites are well demarcated with a wooden fence. The fence is excellent to shelter you from the wind. There are a lot of trees and all the camp sites have shade for at least a part of the day. You will camp on a gravel terrain. Tierkloof is pet friendly, your furry friends will love it. The ablutions have hot water showers and flush toilets. The views from the campsites are just beautiful. Try the 4 x 4 route. It is quite a challenge with rocky parts but also unexpected thick sand. For the none campers there are 4 chalets. I can definitely recommend the camp and with it being so close to Cape Town it is a perfect weekend get away. Rawsonville is close by and you can visit the local restaurants and wine farms.
