Ebb & Flow Campsite, Wilderness, Western Cape

Ebb & Flow campsite is situated in the Wilderness (or Garden Route) National park. The entrance gate to the park is situated a few kilometres outside the town of Wilderness in the Western Cape. The nearby town has access to a major retail store and a few restaurants as well as most shops with the basic necessities. At the campsite itself you can follow the road towards the reception area where you can check-in and it is here where you can book boat cruises on the river or rent out a kayak or a canoe. The south camp is situated a few hundred meters from the reception area and you can book either an inland campsite or a waterside campsite. Both options will give you access to an electrical outlet just note that it is a blue caravan plug and not the traditional 3 point outlet so you will have to take a converter with you. The north camp also offers you the option of waterside campsites or inland campsites as well. The campsites are all on grass and the trees surrounding the campsites will ensure that you have shade covering throughout the day. There are communal bathrooms with flush toilets and hot water showers in both sides of the camp. The park offers you the opportunity to do some excellent bird watching or you can just explore one of the many hiking trails or explore the park on the river via a kayak or a canoe. At the reception area there is also a play area for the kids and chalet options if you don't want to camp. This is a great campsite to come and relax and be one with nature. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend everybody to go pay it a visit.
