Guano Caves Resort, Montagu, Western Cape
Guano Caves is located about 7 km outside the town of Montagu in the Western Cape of South Africa. The resort is well maintained and filled to the brim with activities. You have the choice of camping in the caravan park or staying at one of the private campsites. The caravan park has many campsites located all under some trees to give you a great shade covering throughout the day. Most of the campsites are covered in lush green grass and fairly level to ensure you can easily pitch up camp. Accessing the camp is also easy as the roads in the resort are well maintained and can be driven by any vehicle. Each campsite also has access to electricity and a braai. Some have raised cement braais while others have a fire pit. The ablution facilities in the caravan park is very neat and consists of cubicles with flush toilets and cubicles with hot water showers. You will also find family rooms with bathtubs and wash basins or showers and wash basins. If you are seeking some more privacy the VIP campsites might be more up your street. They each have a private ablution area with a shower and a flush toilet and offer campers a higher level of privacy. The private campsites are also located a fair distance away from the caravan park and more towards the restaurant area. Speaking of the restaurant area, Guano Caves has a beautiful restaurant area that also includes a shop and a bar. Next to this building you will also find a huge pool area with many slides and areas to relax and lounge around next to the water. There is even a heated indoor pool if that is more your thing. You will find a big play area for the kids as well as a waterslide to keep the young ones entertained. Outside there is a putt putt course and padel courts to keep you active. You can also visit the petting zoo and see some of the farm animals up close. Closer to the camp you will find another pool area where you can relax and here you will also find the health spa if you are in need of some TLC. Guano Caves doesn't just cater for campers, they also have glamping tents, rooms and cottages available to stay in.
