Ruah Camp, De Doorns, Western Cape

Ruah camp is situated on the outskirts of De Doorns in the Western Cape. It is 130km from Cape town if you drive up via the N1. The campsite is situated on farm and upon making your booking you will be briefed regarding the arrangements for the weekend including instructions to get to and onto the farm and other important points of order. From the gate to the campsite itself is short drive on a gravel road that can be tricky at parts. it is recommended that you d go with a car and trailer that has a bit of ground clearance.

The campsite themselves are well maintained and very tidy. They are all covered in grass and of them have some or other form of shade covering. Some sites have trees that provides shade while others have a shade net on the site. There are also 3 point electrical outlets throughout the camp as well as taps with drinking water. The camp is situated next to a river however you can’t swim in the river as it provides people with drinking water. There is however a rock pool situated a bit further up in the mountains where you can swim. The farm also offers loads of trails to hike, jog or bike on.

The ablution facilities where also very neat and well maintained. It consists of 2 bathrooms each with a toilet and a shower. On the outside you will also find a sink where you can wash your dishes.
