Stille Waters Campsite, Rawsonville, Western Cape

Stille waters is a short drive outside of Rawsonville. The campsite offers a variety of different campsites varying form big sites which can accommodate up to 40 people or smaller ones. We had the opportunity to stay on the bigger campsite. It is on the bank of a river and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The big campsite has a huge LAPA area complete with basins for washing dishes and a gas stove. It is covered thus ideal for winter camping. There is also a table and seating in the LAPA area. In summertime the private pool will be a great asset and in winter you can warm up in the wood fired hot tub. The campsite has a big build in braai. All the campsites have private ablutions. the ablutions are big and spacious. All the campsites have electricity outlets. If you forgot something at home, try the honesty shop.

You can go for hikes in the area or bring your mountain bike for some exercise. There are a variety of routes to choose from on the farm. Bring you Robberts guide and see how many birds you can spot. I prefer to just sit back and relax.

The surrounding area offers a lot to do. There are a lot of wine farms where you can do some wine tasting and stock up on some good wine or have meal at one of the restaurants.

This is the ideal place for a family get together or a group of friends to relax and catch up. It is an easy drive from Cape Town and a short distance on the gravel farm road.
