Rivers End Campsite, Stanford, Western Cape
RIvers End is a pet friendly campsite outside Stanford. This is off the grid campsites. the camp is in the Klein River area of Stanford. It is next to the wetlands and depending on the season it might be dry or filled with water. The camp is pet friendly and Savva loved running around the campsite. There are different sizes of campsites and you will get a good idea on the website which campsite suits your needs. Some of the sites can accommodate up to 10 people and three caravans. There are a central ablution facility. The ablutions have hot water showers, flush toilets and zincs to do dishes. Not all the campsites are close to the ablutions though. Every campsite has braai facilities, and most campsites has electricity outlets and taps. Do bring your own drinking water. Some campsites have lots of shade, some is on grass, but there are campsites where it would be advisable to bring a gazebo. The campsites are quite far from each other, and you get a feeling of privacy.
The camp offer other forms of accommodation. Try the Black Eagle Bus for one night! If the lagoon is full you can do some canoeing. This is the ideal place to do some bird watching. Stanford is a short drive away and we wandered around the market on the Saturday. You can also buy everything you need in Stanford. Go pay Panthera Africa a visit. It is a home for captive bred big cats. You can book a sunset cruise on the Klein River or book to do some horse riding or even whale watching at the nearby town of Hermanus. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rivers End. Watch the video for more information.
